Canfield man charged with tampering with evidence
BOARDMAN — An arrest in the township led police to alert the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency Wednesday after they said a Canfield man tried to use fake information to obtain a driver’s license.
Eliezer De La Rosa Ramos, 24, of Turner Road, is in the Mahoning County jail without bond on a felony tampering-with-evidence charge and is set to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here later today.
An employee of a Bureau of Motor Vehicles office at 229 Boardman-Canfield Road reported to police that De La Rosa Ramos presented her with a fake permanent residency card in an attempt to get an Ohio temporary driving permit and license plates.
