Cancer fundraisers

YOUNGSTOWN

Liberty Tax Service, 2622 Mahoning Ave., plans its annual St. Patrick’s Day Relay for Life Fundraiser Party from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Local artists Drew and Roxanne Johnson will entertain. There will be games, raffles and prizes.

Local franchise owners and the relay team, Team Lady Liberty, have been involved in the Relay for Life Boardman for the past three years, raising more than $4,200.

Also planned is Liberty’s annual Relay for Life Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28.

Benefit for ill teen

BROOKFIELD

A benefit craft show will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Brookfield Fire Hall, 774 state Route 7 NE, to help a local family with expenses for the treatment of their 13-year old son, Jason. Jason was diagnosed last year with Chiari Malformation Type 1. It is a neurological disorder in which brain tissue protrudes into the spinal canal.
