Suspected suicide

WARREN

Police believe suicide is the reason a 51-year-old resident of an apartment of the sixth floor of the Buckeye Building fell to her death this morning at 700 Buckeye St. NW near downtown.

Capt. Robert Massucci said police do not suspect foul play or an accident. Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority owns the building.

Police came to the building at 7 a.m. when a caller reported the woman had fallen into the courtyard near the Mahoning River and was not breathing. The county coroner will conduct an autopsy.

Dillard’s worker dies

NILES

A man died of a heart attack while working on the roof of Dillard’s at Eastwood Mall on Tuesday.

William C. Giblin Jr. of New Middletown, 60, was pronounced dead on the roof at 9:14 a.m. That decision was made by an attending physician from ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Medical personnel at the store had performed 25 minutes of CPR before the call, a city police report states.

Giblin, a maintenance worker for Dillard’s, was on the roof looking for leaks with an employee of Roth Co. and had fallen, but was still breathing though unconscious before 911 was called, the report says.
