Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. A lemon-butter baked fish with macaroni and cheese option has been added to the menu for Lent. The cost is $7.50. No reservations are necessary. Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will offer Lenten service opportunities Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Church women will provide a light lunch after the 12:30 p.m. Wednesday services. A freewill offering will be taken. Takeout is available for $6 per quart of soup. Today the soup is ham and bean.

THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner is $7 each. American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. Meals cost $9.50. Chicken and shrimp dinners are available for $8.50, and fish sandwiches are $6.50.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will have fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Fridays during Lent except for Good Friday. Takeouts begin at 3 p.m. The cost is $9.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 5 to 12 and free for 4 and younger.

St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1 Lucymont Drive, New Castle, Pa., will have Lenten fish fries, eat in or takeout, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parish hall. Angels for Animals will host a St. Patrick’s Day pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield. Prices are $8 for all you can eat and $5 for kids 6 and under. There will be a basket raffle and a 50-50 raffle. Proceeds benefit the Campaign for Angel’s Wing.

Community Concerned Citizens II will sponsor a Chilly Day Chili Cook-Off from 4 to 7 p.m. at York Avenue Church of God, 872 York Ave. SW, Warren. Homemade chili varieties are available for $7 for adults and $3 for children under 10. There will be a basket raffle, games and prizes.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will serve corned beef/roast beef dinners from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for $9. Meals are eat in or carryout.

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve chicken pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Prices are $9 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for preschoolers. Takeouts are available.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will have a soup and salad bar dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Soups are vegetable, wedding, potato and chili. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. The price includes two bowls of soup and one trip to the salad bar. A bake sale will take place during the dinner. The church is handicap accessible.

New Wilmington Kiwanis Club will sponsor its annual Pancake Day from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Westminster College’s Galbreath Hall dining room. The meal features all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage and supports the New Wilmington Fire Department. Tickets may be purchased from any local Kiwanian or at the door. Prices are $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, at the corner of Kirk Road and state Route 46 in Austintown, will serve a free pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Donations will be accepted; proceeds go to world service projects.

Struthers Band Boosters will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. at Struthers Parkside Church, at the corner of Poland Avenue and South Bridge Street, Struthers. Struthers school bands will entertain, and a basket auction will take place. All proceeds will benefit Struthers City Band programs.

Boy Scout Troop 119 will serve pancake breakfasts for a donation from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hall at St. Paul Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown. Also planned are a raffle of Visa gift cards and a bake sale. For information call 330-542-2640.

First Presbyterian Church of Girard will sell 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls, potato soup, chicken noodle soup, bread and homemade sticky buns on March 21. The supper is a free community outreach of the church and is open to all. Donations are accepted to continue the program.
