Canfield police informing residents about traffic-signal construction today and Thursday

CANFIELD — The Canfield Police Department is informing the motoring public that construction at the intersection of U.S. Route 224 and state Route 46 (the Square) in the center of Canfield will begin today and Thursday.

The construction project is being conducted to replace the traffic signals at the intersection. Between the approximate hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be no functioning traffic lights.

The turning lanes will be shut down, temporary stop signs will be in place, and two police officers will be on location directing traffic. It is recommended that motorists use alternate routes to avoid the construction zone.
