Lowellville teacher suspended

LOWELLVILLE — A Lowellville High School teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the Ohio Department of Education’s investigation into an alleged security breach involving administration of a Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career test.

“The administration immediately notified the Ohio Department of Education and is maintaining full cooperation with the department,” Superintendent Eugene Thomas said.

Because the investigation is ongoing, and upon the advice of legal counsel, district officials will make no further comment, Thomas said. The teacher was not identified in the news release.
