Library announces spring book sale

EAST PALESTINE

Friends of the East Palestine Memorial Public Library, 309 N. Market St., will host the annual spring book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the basement of the library.

There is a large selection of books for all ages as well as games, puzzles, magazines and DVDs.

NOAS plans Sip & Paint event

CANFIELD

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services plans a Sip & Paint fundraiser at Wonderstruck Market from 6 to 8 p.m. March 24.

The event is open to 34 people and the cost is $40 a person, which includes appetizers, wine and art instruction for a canvas painting.

From each person who attends, $20 will go back to NOAS. There also will be a chance auction.

Relay for Life team plans dinner-dance

MERCER, PA.

PPG Reflections and Memories Relay For Life team has scheduled a Spring Dinner and Oldies Dance from 6 to 9 p.m. March 28 at the Legacy Banquet and Conference Center, 1946 Mercer-Grove City Road.

Tickets cost $22 and can be purchased in Grove City at The Legacy, County Market, Pizza Joe’s, in Mercer at the Chamber of Commerce office, Pizza Joe’s and County Crossings Gifts & Collectibles in Leesburg.

There will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle. All proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society. Reservations are required.

Show to feature women artists’ work

YOUNGSTOWN

YWCA Women Artists: A Celebration! Annual Art Exhibition will showcase works by women artists, age 18 and older, at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave.

Entry forms are can be obtained by calling 330-746-6361, ext. 102, or at ywca.org/youngstown. They are due by March 30.

Artists may enter a maximum of five works. There is a nonrefundable fee of $10 per entry or $45 for five entries. Entry is by CD only.

A preview party will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. June 20 at the YWCA.
