3 added to Youngstown Police Department

YOUNGSTOWN — The city police department added three new members today.

Taking the oath as patrol officers were Jeshaila Dunkle of Youngstown; Travis Sheely of Mineral Ridge; and Michael Conway of Niles.

Conway and Sheely will undergo a week of in-service training before hitting the streets with a training officer next week. Dunkle is attending the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy but will be graduating in May. She will then join the department on the road with a training officer.

Chief Robin Lees said he hopes to have seven or eight new officers hired by the end of the summer.
