Church Hill UMC plans children’s fair

LIBERTY

Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will sponsor a children’s fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The event will feature games and child-safe prizes. Tickets are 25 cents each. Children win a prize every time they play. Lunch also will be available.

Local ministry takes Feinstein challenge

Neighborhood Ministries, a local nonprofit, feeds families and provides nutritional meals for children through the summer weekend backpack program, with produce and bakery distributions for families, and it manages three emergency food pantries.

It is again participating in the Feinstein Anti-Hunger campaign. For each box or can of food or each dollar donated in March and April, the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation will provide a portion of a $1 million match.

Donations of food and cash can be taken to any of three locations: Kirwan Center, 75 Jackson St. in Campbell; Rockford Village, 1402 Dogwood Lane in Youngstown and West Side Community Center, 304 Matta Ave. in Youngstown.

Aut Mori to serve a benefit breakfast

YOUNGSTOWN

Aut Mori Grotto Veterans Unit will host a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Aut Mori Grotto Banquet Hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave.

The pancakes are all you can eat, and there will be sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee and tea. The prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and free for children under 3.

All the proceeds benefit American veterans.

Library is featuring Candyland game

SALEM

Families are invited to the Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., to take a walk on the game board of Candyland. Visitors can become part of the life-size adaptation of the classic game.

Spin the wheel and take a trip through the land of gumdrops, ice cream seas, lollipop woods and a peppermint forest. Counting, colors, and candy make this family game a favorite at the library. Play your way around the Children’s Department through the all the fantastic candy worlds until you reach King Candy.

Families with children under 12 should go to the children’s department between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday to play. No registration is required for this free program. Call 330-332-0042 or stop by the library for information.

Autism fair seeks service providers

Autism Society of Ohio-Mahoning Valley is seeking autism service providers to participate in its second annual Community Autism & Disability Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 21 at the Southern Park Mall.

Service providers will offer participants information about autism and disability services and organizations in the area and Northeast Ohio region.
