Five Raiders scored in double figures: Shakem Johnson with 15, Jarelle Johnson with 13, Kahmaree Bush with 12 and Derek Culver and Gabe Simpson with 11 apiece. Warren Harding advances to the Solon district for a semifinal game on Thursday.

Canfield 43, Salem 41

BOARDMAN

Mason Mangapora scored 14 points and Mike Yourstowsky 10 to lead the Cardinals. Canfield will meet Hubbard in the district semifinal game on Thursday at Warren Harding High School. For the Quakers, D.J. Pullie led with seven points.

Madisson Geddes scored 10 points to lead Garfield to a regional berth. For the Tigers, Gabby Kline scored 16 points.

At Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl, the Struthers Wildcats finished ninth with a total of 2,666. Jarrod Sawyers bowled a 608 series, JD Heffron had a 555 series, Adam Cifra (480), Jonny Medvec (364) and Andrew Brabant (305). Hubbard placed 11th with 2,721. Caleb Johnson (577) Mitchell Cohol (576), Seth Valentino (551), Dylan Dobay (525), Ralph Streb bowled a 199 and Mitchell Meyers a 137. Lakeview placed 14th with a total of 2,538. Zac White had a 574, Brandon Currence (566), Joshua Miller (548), Eric Rohrabaugh (432) Sean Meszaros (308) and Trevor Rohrabaugh (110). Individually, Sawyers (Struthers) finished seventh overall and LaBrae’s Brandon Bergstrom placed 69th with a 462 series. Coldwater won the team championship. Coldwater’s Trey James took the indidivual title with a 652 series.

Division I

MENTOR

Three Austintown Fitch wrestlers qualified for state in the district meet at Mentor High School. Finishing second was Jake Franks (220) while Adam Green (152) and Isiah Jackson (170) finished fourth. The top four in each weight class qualify for state while the fifth-place finisher is alternate. As a team, Fitch was seventh with 64 points. Boardman’s Anthony Mancini was second in 160 and Vince Mancini was fourth in 106. Their teammate Mario Graziani was fifth in 152.

Division III

GARFIELD HEIGHTS

Six area wrestlers qualified for state at the district meet at Garfield Heights High School. Jackson-Milton’s qualifers are Mitch Tikkanen (second place at 113) and Terry Stockton (fourth at 120). Wellsville’s Seth Bloor was the heavyweight winner and Girard’s Ben Norman was fourth. Also qualifying were Brookfield’s Zach Hackett (third at 220) and United’s Charlie Smith (fourth at 220. Jackson-Milton scored 69.5 points to finish eighth. Tuslaw won with 128.5 points. Qualifying as alternates were South Range’s Anthony Renforth (145) and Jackson-Milton’s Devin Seka (126) and Anthony Italiano (182).
