Cancer fund to benefit from Good Life Fest


The Calvin Center for the Arts, 755 Mahoning Ave., announces the second annual Good Life Fest on Saturday to benefit the Silver Lining Cancer Fund. The event is sponsored by Eos Whole Fitness, The Rustbelt Theater Company and Autumns Red Studios.

Planned is a whole day of events that focus on health and wellness in a variety of forms. Events and demonstrations will go on throughout the day and include food, art, music, beauty, health and wellness, dance and theater performances. Shopping and food will be available throughout the day.

The schedule for the day follows:

Classes, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,

Aerial yoga with Jennifer Neal of Eos Whole Fitness

Piloxing with Angela Lubonovich

Burlesque Fit with Deb of Classroom Aerobics

Dancing Mindfulness with Dr. Jamie Marich

Hoop Groove with Katie Morris of InfiniTribe

Zumba Dance Party with Sam of Eos Whole Fitness and other area teachers

Common Space of the Calvin Center & Rust Belt Theater Chapel

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Art sale and silent auction featuring local artists and vendors Robert Joki, Little Hummingbird Designs, Medusa’s Adornments & Arcana, Amplified Arts, Mahoning Valley Birth Center, Dream in Color Jewelry, the Vitamin Shoppe, Healing Flower, Joannabelle, The Enchanted Alchemist, Babb’s Bakery, the Sassy Trashionista and more to be announced.

7:30 p.m. to midnight

Soiree in the Chapel, featuring performances by InfiniTribe, Third Street Belly Dance, Celena Coven, Marisa Zamary, Bernadette Lim, Katie O’Neill, Shiloh Hawkins and the Tribe of Eos.

All proceeds will be donated to the Silver Lining Cancer Fund in the name of Charyl L. Grbinick, who died March 1, 2012, from ovarian cancer. Previous events to benefit the fund were organized by Samantha Grbinick, who is the daughter of Grbinick, and Neal, owner of Eos Whole Fitness.

The goal of the benefit is to celebrate Grbinick’s life by helping others in need through events such as the Good Life Fest.

Tickets for the event are a suggested donation of $10 and can be purchased the day of the event or in advance via PayPal to sunrise@thedanceofeos.com with “TGLF Donation” in the subject line.
