Dominion rates fall

YOUNGSTOWN

Natural-gas supplier Dominion East Ohio’s rates for standard service and standard choice offers will both be $3.32 per thousand cubic feet (mcf) effective Friday.

The revised rates are 2.8 cents higher than $3.30 per mcf in February. The revised rates are $2.13, or 39.1 percent, lower than the March 2014 SCO/SSO rates of $5.46 per mcf. The average SCO/SSO residential customer’s bill for the month of March would be $82.80, down $26.86, or 24.5 percent, from $109.66 in March 2014.

Rhiel plans to host business showcase

The Rhiel Supply Co. will host a business showcase at Fellows Riverside Garden. 123 McKinley Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 26.

This event will include training on the Global Harmonization System that all employers must ensure employees have received to stay compliant with the new Occupational Safety and Health Administration hazard communication regulations.

Seminar at Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN

Top executive officers from multiple Ohio agencies will speak at a seminar explaining the state’s commitment to small business by cutting taxes, regulations and attracting talent.

The seminar will take place at the community room of the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St., from 11 a.m. to noon March 16. Registration for the free event is required by Tuesday. To register, call 330-744-2131, ext. 19.

Networking event

BOARDMAN

Rusco Design Center and Eric Allshouse LLC are teaming up to host a networking event from 5 to 7 p.m. March 19.

The event includes the owner and staff of both companies, and will take place at the Rusco Design Center, 1280 Boardman-Poland Road, which has kitchen and bathroom displays that include cabinets, countertops, sinks and decor. The staff also can give tips on remodeling, as well as design ideas.

Refreshments and appetizers will be available. Reservations are requested for the free event by Friday.

Breakfast to focus on Affordable Care Act

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will have a business breakfast at Das Dutch Haus Restaurant, 14895 South Ave., at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

The breakfast will focus on the delays and changes in the provisions of the Affordable Care Act.

Attendees will receive an update as well as hear information on how five small businesses were able to reduce their costs and provide better coverage for their employees.
