Theater group to visit DAR
CANFIELD
Daughters of the American Revolution Mahoning Chapter will welcome the After School Theatre Players at its noon meeting on Monday at A La Cart Catering.
The players will perform an excerpt from “Little Women” under the direction of DAR member Jennifer Kuczek. Members are reminded to take items for veterans.
Meetings are open to women interested in joining Daughters of the American Revolution.
DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism.

Scrabble tourney at Boardman church

Protestant Family Service will host a Scrabble tournament fundraiser March 14 at Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St.
Check-in in time is 11:30 a.m., and game play begins at noon.

Interest group will meet Wednesday

The Transcendental Interest Group will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave.
The theme for the March meeting is hands and will feature a 30-minute film about the use of hand gestures in various cultures and occupations.
Attendees will be invited to learn about “lending a hand” in the community. It will end with the joining of hands for a healing meditation.
The TIG meets the second Wednesday of every month. It is coordinated by Agnes Martinko and is free and open to the public.

Parkinson’s group will meet Thursday

The regular meeting of Parkinson’s Support Group will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
The Parkinson’s Support Group is for those who have or are caretakers to those who have Parkinson’s Disease.

Coffee with gardeners planned for March 18
CANFIELD
March Coffee with the Master Gardeners program will take place with doughnuts and coffee at 9:30 a.m. and the program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 18 at OSU Extension, Mahoning County, 490 S. Broad St.
The March program is all things seeds. Master Gardener volunteer Barbara Delisio will discuss how to start a garden from seed this spring.
