New officers to join city’s force Monday
YOUNGSTOWN
The police department will swear in three new officers at 10 a.m. Monday in city council chambers on the sixth floor of city hall, 26 S. Phelps St.
The new officers are Travis Sheely, 24, of Mineral Ridge; Michael Conway, 24, of Niles; and Jeshalia Dunkle, 22, of Youngstown.
The three will join five other officers who were sworn in earlier this year.

Fifteen people became U.S. citizens Thursday during a naturalization ceremony with Judge Theresa Dellick of Mahoning County Juvenile Court presiding.

Skywarn training will be offered March 18
AUSTINTOWN
Mahoning County Skywarn training will be March 18 in the auditorium at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
It will be offered via a webinar from the National Weather Service’s Cleveland office. Interested parties do not have to be amateur radio operators to attend the training. Sign-in begins at 5:30 p.m., and the training will begin at 6:30.
