2nd Fur Ball draws 200 to support Animal Charity Humane Society's services
YOUNGSTOWN
Animal lovers throughout the area enjoyed a night of charity, entertainment and food at Animal Charity Humane Society’s second annual Fur Ball at The B&O Station downtown.
“It’s to raise funds for the humane department to help neglected and abused animals in Mahoning County,” said Krista Milford, a humane society board member.
Animal Charity, located at 4140 Market St, in Boardman serves as the humane society for all of Mahoning County.
“The more funds we raise, the more [humane] agents we can get out on the streets,” Milford added.
The event featured Navaeh, a boxer-mix breed dog who’s available for adoption. Some of the attendees enjoyed petting her at the event, such as Lori Hromyak of Youngstown.
“I hope she finds her forever home,” she said.
Attendees also enjoyed local food, music, a cash bar, and two auctions.
