Stambaugh Pillars elect officers; plan fundraisers

Stambaugh Pillars elected Karl Roach, chairman; Barbara Banks, vice-chairman; Kay Fuller, recording secretary; Mary Alice Boyd, corresponding secretary; and Barbara Tinkham, treasurer, during the annual meeting Feb. 9.
The Stambaugh Pillars 2015 membership drive has begun. Benefits of membership depend upon the donation amount and vary among levels of membership. Some of the benefits include presale notices, half-off ticket service fees, bar-concession discounts and free admission to select Stambaugh Auditorium-presented events. Memberships are available for individuals, couples, families and businesses. All donations are tax deductible.
Throughout the year, Stambaugh Pillars host fundraising events to benefit the auditorium, including:
Bands at the Baugh: A four-part outdoor summer concert series from June through September in the garden. Each month a different local band or musician is featured. Food is available for purchase, along with a cash bar.
Opera Dinner: Takes place in the Grand Ballroom before the annual performance by Opera Western Reserve. Buffet dinner and a cash bar are featured. “The Elixir of Love” will be performed Nov. 13.
Holiday Fashion Show: Takes place in the Grand Ballroom. Before the show, a plated lunch is served. The 18th annual fashion show is scheduled for Nov. 4.
