Man on bicycle tackled in arrest
YOUNGSTOWN
A man who was wanted on two warrants for felonious assault tried to ride away from U.S. Marshals Wednesday morning and was tackled into a snowbank, reports said.
Marshals went to a Russell Street home in Niles about 9:30 a.m. looking for Ronald Paris, 26, who is accused of attacking two women at a Roy Street home Feb. 26 on the West Side.
Paris was not there but when Marshals left they spotted Paris riding a bicycle at Robbins Road near Carnegie Avenue.
Reports said Paris ignored orders to stop and tried to ride away before he was tackled and knocked off his bicycle.
Reports said Paris was treated for a bruise to his head before being taken to the Mahoning County jail.
