Man will be arraigned today on felony drug charges

WARREN — Kevin J. Myers, 46, of Harvard Drive Southeast and West Boulevard in Youngstown, will be arraigned today on a felony drug-possession charge, accused of buying the opiate pain medication Vicodin from a woman who gets it by prescription.

Warren narcotics investigators made a traffic stop on a car on Niles Road at Roman Street Southeast Tuesday evening and found that Myers was driving without a license and had a warrant.

During a search of the pickup truck, police found a prescription bottle containing Vicodin with a woman’s name on the bottle. An open can of beer was also in the truck.

Myers told police that the owner of the pills apparently left them in his car earlier when he was helping her with a car problem, but police went to the woman’s home and questioned her.

The woman said she “sells the pills to Myers because he doesn’t have insurance and he can’t get them for himself,” police said.
