YOUNGSTOWN — A Sheridan Road man told police Tuesday at St Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital that he was robbed and beaten the night before by a man who drove him home from a bar because he was too drunk to drive.

The 57-year-old man told police he woke up on his kitchen floor Tuesday morning beaten and bloody. Missing was about $4,000 worth of jewelry that he was wearing and $500 in cash.

The man said when he woke up his front door was still open. He drove himself to the Struthers Police Department, and they took him to the hospital, reports said.
