Girard man faces drug charges after traffic stop


YOUNGSTOWN — Police confiscated two bags of marijuana after stopping a Girard man for driving under suspension at about 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fifth and Crandall avenues.

Reports said officers pulled over a car driven by 43-year-old Keith Griffin for having no front license plate.

Griffin told police he had a suspended license and a records check also found he had several suspensions.

Reports said Griffin also told officers he had two bags of marijuana. Police found one of the bags but could not get the second bag until he was booked into the Mahoning County jail.

Griffin was arrested for charges of driving under suspension and possession of marijuana
