Austintown man wins chance at $1 million

AUSTINTOWN

An Austintown man has a chance to win $1 million from Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course.

On his birthday, Ernest T. won the $5,000 grand prize at the Marquee Millionaire qualifying tournament, a three-day trip to Las Vegas and a chance to compete for the $1 million top Marquee Millionaire prize.

Ernest became the qualifying tournament winner by accumulating the most points during Hollywood Gaming’s Marquee Millionaire Tournament week from Feb. 22 through Feb. 28.

That earned him the top local prize of $5,000 in cash and automatically qualified him to advance in the national tournament, to be held at the M Resort and Spa in Las Vegas from April 30 through May 3.

There were 30 daily winners during the week who earned prizes ranging from $100 in free play to $1,000 in cash, and 30 grand prize winners on the tournament’s last day. The other 29 winners in the final round earned prizes ranging from $250 to $2,500 in free play.
