Went to jail with cocaine in pants
YOUNGSTOWN
A man arrested for domestic violence Tuesday had a bag of cocaine on him when he was booked into the Mahoning County jail, police reports said.
Officers were called to a home in the 200 block of East Ravenwood Avenue about 2:20 a.m. for a fight. A 35-year-old woman told them her husband, Eric Cobb, 43, slammed her against a wall, choked her and punched her after she was angry over a text message he had received, and she was also attacked by their dog.
Cobb went upstairs to pack some belongings and the woman called 911, reports said. Reports said the woman had several scratches on her neck.
Reports said the cocaine was found inside one of his pants pockets when Cobb was searched as he was being booked. A felony charge of possession of cocaine was added to his misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
