cemetery cleanup
St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 3900 Villa Marie Road, Lowellville, will have its spring cleanup March 16. Cleanup will include all Christmas and other decorations that don’t comply with rules and regulations.
Decorations should be removed before that date; otherwise, they will be discarded.
ART SHOW AND SALE
The Davis Family YMCA is sponsoring the third annual “Five Squared Benefit Art Show and Sale.” The event continues to Sunday.
All pieces of art will be sold for $25. Proceeds support scholarships for under-served children and the arts outreach program.
The event features more than 500 pieces of 5-by- 5-inch artwork donated by 220 artists from nine countries and eight states. Artists range in age from 1 to 101 years old.

Scholarship brunch
The Gerald L. Morgan Scholarship Foundation will host a fundraising brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chop House Restaurant, East Market Street, Howland.
Dr. Morgan is the founder and host of the brunch, with Dr. Alton L. Merrell Jr. as the guest speaker and Lester Stovell as musical guest. polio fundraiser
Austintown Rotary Club and the Youngstown Phantoms are teaming up for a fundraiser at Friday’s game to benefit Rotary’s End Polio Now Campaign. Students from the fifth-grade choir at Austintown Middle School will be singing the national anthem. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St., Youngstown. adaptive bicycles
Mercer County commissioners and Variety the Children’s Charity have partnered to present adaptive bicycles to children in Mercer County with disabilities. The “Identification Event for Kids” will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday in the county courthouse rotunda, 120 S. Diamond St.
The charity’s goal is to identify more children in the county to benefit from its program. More than 250 adaptive bikes are sponsored plus a supply of devices and strollers. Eligible children in the area need to be found to benefit from the devices. All equipment is presented on a first-come, first-served basis in Variety’s 16-county service area throughout western Pennsylvania.
