Police ID victims of West Side shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — Two people were wounded after a shooting at a West Side housing project about 10:20 p.m. Sunday.

Chief of Detectives Capt. Brad Blackburn said Ryan Friendly, 24, is in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and Aeriyka Gentry, 21, is in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

Blackburn said detectives are still trying to figure out what exactly happened.

He said they have not yet been able to talk much with Gentry or Friendly.

He said presently there are no suspects.
