Guilty plea in Liberty child endangering case

Ondre L. Brown, 22, of Monticello Boulevard and Eastlawn Avenue, both in Liberty, pleaded guilty Monday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to two counts of felony child endangering for injuries to two of his girlfriend’s children last July.

His girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter suffered a broken collar bone, and her 3-year-old daughter suffered burns, police said.

When police arrived at the apartment early July 29, they discovered bruises on the 2-year-old’s face and bruising on her ear.

The child’s mother had already taken the 3-year-old to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment of burns that had also occurred while she was at work the previous night.

Brown will be sentenced after the Trumbull County Adult Probation conducts a presentence investigation.
