Firefighters battle blaze at waste plant

YOUNGSTOWN

A fire on a conveyor belt at the city’s waste-treatment plant was electrical, the fire department said.

The fire started around 8:30 a.m. in the incinerator building. It was quickly extinguished, the department said.

No one was injured.
