Campbell man faces felonious-assault charge

CAMPBELL — Jose Hernandez, 39, of Campbell faces a first-degree felony charge of felonious assault with a weapon — his truck.

Police were dispatched to Hernandez’s home on Friday, where a physical altercation took place between he and his wife, according to a police report.

When officers arrived, Hernandez allegedly attempted to leave in his truck, and drove it in manner as if to strike one of the officers. The report says Hernandez continuously ignored orders and resisted arrest. Hernandez was eventually arrested. He is expected to appear for a hearing Tuesday in municipal court.
