Shooting in Pittsburgh Strip District nightclub injures six

PITTSBURGH

Police in western Pennsylvania say a shooting at a Pittsburgh nightclub injured six people, one with a gunshot wound and five due to broken glass.

Nearby officers heard the gunfire at about 1 a.m. Sunday at Ivy Pittsburgh in the city’s Strip District.

Authorities said one male victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right thigh and right finger. He was listed in stable condition.

Five other people, four of them female, were reported injured by broken glass as they attempted to leave the nightclub.

A firearm was recovered but no arrests were made and police said no description of the shooter was available.
