YOUNGSTOWN

A business-networking mixer is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. March 19 at the Edward W. Powers grand lobby inside the DeYor Performing Arts Center at 260 W. Federal St., downtown.

The cost is $20 per person with a cash bar.

Mahoning Valley restaurants will provide sweet culinary dishes; there will be historical pieces on display; and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will prepare for the “City Lights” performance during the event.

AT&T upgrades sites

YOUNGSTOWN

AT&T upgraded or activated more than 480 cell sites to offer 4G LTE service in northern Ohio last year.

In Mahoning County, the company activated one new cell site last year, and upgraded a half-dozen sites to offer the service. Trumbull County saw the construction of two new cell sites with more than a dozen sites upgraded.

Safe-work practices

Enertech Electrical Inc. will host a two-day seminar for an electrical safe-work practices course from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 19 and March 20 at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave.

The course is part of meeting the requirement of the National Fire Protection Association for training personnel on safe-work practices and how to implement them. The seminar includes breakfast, lunch and course materials. The cost is $1,050 per person. The deadline to register is Tuesday, which can be made by calling 724-514-8997.

Ethics program

MINERAL RIDGE

The Western Reserve Association of Health Underwriters will host a four-hour ethics program and luncheon in a joint meeting with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors on March 19 at The Fifth Season Banquet Center, 1400 Niles-Canfield Road.

Lunch and networking begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by the ethics program. The course will be presented by Ray Copenheaver of Ohio Agent Services.

Four hours of continuing- education credits are available for this program.

Cost to attend is $15 for WRAHU and Ohio Association of Health Underwriters members; $35 for guests and nonmembers. To reserve a spot or for information, email Jessica Claughton at Jessica@ohioahu.org. The registration deadline is March 13.

Business workshop

CLARION, PA.

A workshop on how to grow your business by engaging your employees will take place at 330 North Pointe Drive, Suite 100, beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
