Animal sanctuary fundraiser is March 21

Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary Inc., 5623 New Milford Road, will host a “A Night of Hope and Inspiration” event from 5 to 9 p.m. March 21 at Todaro’s Party Center,1820 Akron Peninsula Road, Akron.

The event will focus on lifting spirits by highlighting the positive actions that were made possible through the work at the sanctuary, which takes in and provides care for animals from Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties.

“A Night of Hope” also will serve as an anniversary for the nonprofit’s 15 years of service, as well as a celebration of a year of progress and recovery after a fire at the sanctuary Feb. 14, 2014.

Vegan hors d’oeuvres and desserts will be served. Entertainment will be provided by violinist Mary Beth Ions. A basket raffle, wine pull, lottery forest, mystery grab bags and door prizes will be offered.

Guest speakers also are on the program, including Annette Fisher, Happy Trails founder and executive director.

Tickets are $55 per person, and can be purchased at www.happytrailsfarm.org or by calling 330-296-5914. Donations for Happy Trails’ ongoing fundraising campaign also will be accepted.

For an additional $30, participants can attend a meet-and-greet private cocktail reception from 4 to 5 p.m. Attendees will meet and share cocktails with the special guest speakers and Happy Trails board members.

All proceeds will benefit the rescued animals at the sanctuary.
