Guests will be invited to stroll through an exhibit that will feature items from Powers Auditorium when it was known as the Warner Theatre. Dinner will consist of cuisine inspired by chefs of the 1930s. Guests will sample theater confections of the era, swing dance to the music of Backbeat and browse the silent auction featuring wines, entertainment packages, jewelry and original artwork.
Jeanne Tyler, a community philanthropist, will be honored with the Heritage Award for her efforts to preserve Mahoning Valley historical landmarks and traditions.
Through her past generosity, the society restored the former historic Ross Radio/Harry Burt property in the city’s central West Federal Street business district and help the symphony society to expand educational classroom programs.
