Portion of Mahoning Avenue in Austintown closed Thursday for movie filming

AUSTINTOWN — Mahoning Avenue between Lipkey and Turner roads in will be closed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday to facilitate the local production of a film.

Access for emergency vehicles and local access to residents will be maintained by the production company. Traffic for passenger vehicles will be detoured along Turner, Kirk, and Lipkey roads for passenger vehicles under 17 tons.

The detour for all vehicles more than 17 tons will be state Route 46, Interstates 80 and 76, and Bailey Road. This detour will be installed and maintained by Mahoning County Engineer’s Office employees.
