AUSTINTOWN

Property across from Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course on state Route 46 will soon be auctioned off.

The property at 5511 Silica Road will go up for a live auction at 11 a.m. July 30 by George Roman Auctioneers Ltd. of Canfield.

The 3 acres of property, with a more than 15,000-square-foot strip mall, was once home to a martial-arts business, a women’s fitness center and an ice cream shop.

Talmer Bank & Trust purchased the property in a sheriff’s sale in January for the two-thirds minimum bid of $662,666. It is appraised at $994,000.

Master Park Plaza Investment Inc. previously owned the property.

In October 2013, First Place Bank, now Talmer Bank, filed a complaint in foreclosure against Master Park Plaza Investment Inc. for the Silica Road property.
