Cornhole tourney

SHARON, PA.

Penn State Shenango Alumni Society will host its second annual cornhole tournament at 4 p.m. July 11 at Quaker Steak and Lube, 100 Chestnut St., downtown. Registration will begin at 3 p.m. The cost is $20 per person (two-person teams, double elimination). Proceeds will benefit student scholarships. Top Hat Productions’ summer youth theater workshop begins July 16 and runs for eight consecutive Thursdays, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each day, at Fairview Arts & Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road. It is open to youths age 6 through 12. Students will learn stage direction and stage presence while building self-esteem. The workshop culminates with a performance of “101 Dalmatians” on Aug. 30.
