Party, renewal of vows honor Jones milestone

Mr. and Mrs. James Jones of Poland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown on June 14 as well as with a family dinner and party hosted by their children and spouses in Columbus on June 20.

Their children are Deborah and Sam Austrino of Westerville, Ohio, and Brian and Amy Jones of Bexley, Ohio.

They have three grandchildren, Jacob Austrino and Sophia and Grace Jones.

The former Mary Ann Mayesky and Mr. Jones were married June 26, 1965, at St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown.

The couple have been members of St. Luke Church in Boardman since 1979, and they participate in Holy Name of St. Luke’s and Donate Life.

Mrs. Jones retired in 1997 from Kmart in Boardman.

Mr. Jones was a structural engineer at Boardman Steel and retired in 2008. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
