AUTO DEALERS

Jerry Sandford, owner of Acura of Boardman dealership, 883 Boardman-Canfield Road, was the recipient of the 2014 Dealership of Distinction award. The annual award is Acura’s highest honor, presented to its dealerships that demonstrate total operational excellence. Acura dealerships from across the country participated in the yearlong recognition program, with only 25 percent earning the honor for 2014.

Dealerships of Distinction are recognized for achieving excellence in client treatment, sales and service performance, facility and finance.

UTILITY

Struthers Area Manager Albert Sauline will retire from Aqua Ohio. Sauline got his feet wet in the industry in 1967 as a utility worker for the city of Hubbard’s water and wastewater department. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in education, both from Youngstown State University. Sauline also served as the director of the Trumbull County Juvenile Court’s Crisis Bureau for more than 14 years. He was elected mayor of Hubbard in 1988 and served three terms. In 1996, Sauline was hired to lead what is now Aqua’s Struthers Division, which serves customers in Struthers, the villages of Lowellville, New Middletown and Poland as well as portions of Beaver, Boardman, Canfield, Coitsville, Poland and Springfield townships in Mahoning County; portions of Brookfield and Hubbard townships in Trumbull County; and Lake Tomahawk in Columbiana County.

DEVELOPMENT

Jennifer Hebrock, a Cortland native, joins the Hudson Holdings team as its director of special projects. Hebrock began her professional career at TLO, now a division of Trans- Union. TLO is an investigative and risk-management tool for due diligence, threat assessment, identity authentication, fraud prevention and detection, legislative compliance and debt recovery. Since joining Hudson, Hebrock contributed to the research behind the company’s purchase of the former Huntington Bank building in downtown Cleveland.
