The Vindicator is pleased to announce its Spring Sports Athletes of the Year.

From winter workouts in the snow, to championship moments in the heat, the nine student-athletes honored here are celebrated for their outstanding achievement throughout the season.

Whether it’s on the field, on the track or on the court, their success is the direct result of hard work and dedication.

They represented their schools and communities in the highest fashion and brought pride to the Mahoning Valley as a whole.

As selected by The Vindicator, this year’s class includes six seniors, two juniors and one sophomore.

For some, the final chapter on their competitive sports careers has been written. For others, it lives on through fall or winter sports or until next season.

Then there are those whose commitment to their sport, as well as in the classroom, has rewarded them with the most valuable award one could receive in the form of a scholarship.

Some won state titles.

Others came heart-breakingly close.

All of them gave their all.

Whether sports is included in the next chapter or not, the rest of their stories are still unwritten.
