Summer workshop offered for children

YOUNGSTOWN

YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., in collaboration with the OH WOW! Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, will host a Summer Manufacturing Institute workshop exploring medical manufacturing from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 20 through 24 for children in grades four through six.

The workshop will explore how new medical technologies are being made and used in the Mahoning Valley. Students will meet industry professionals, tour local manufacturing facilities and build their own articulated hand.

Registration is required by July 13. The cost is $150, and limited scholarships are available. Breakfast and lunch are included.
