Rain fear cancels 'Slide the City'

YOUNGSTOWN — The city has canceled the "Slide The City" event scheduled for Saturday because of impending heavy rain.

The event was to be held at Market and Front streets, where padded vinyl was to be put down to form a 1,000-foot slide.

A makeup date has not yet been announced.
