Summary of recent criminal activity in Austintown, Boardman, Canfield and Poland townships:

AUSTINTOWN

June 15

Criminal damaging: Realty signs were destroyed at Lakeside Realty, 3820 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A woman tried to cash a stolen check at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 6460 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police arrested Joseph Kopnitsky 25, of South Schenley Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and theft of $209.98 in merchandise, including two cellphones, from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A door was damaged at a home in the 80 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Robbery: A male suspect robbed a woman of money in her room at the Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Blvd.

Aggravated menacing: Verbal threats were reported by a resident at a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

June 16

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Marqvaysha Driver, 21, of Compass West, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: A paycheck was taken from a home in the 20 block of North Wickliffe Circle and cashed.

Theft: An undetermined amount of candy was taken from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A radio and amplifier were taken from a used car at Greenwood Chevrolet, 4695 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A debit card that belonged to a resident of a home in the 4000 block of Winthrop Drive was used without consent.

Criminal damaging: Scratches and dents were made to a car parked at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Felonious assault: A felonious assault was reported at a home the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $100 bill was reported at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

June 17

Theft: A truck driver is accused of stealing citizen-band radios at Pilot Oil, 1150 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Eugene Kaiser, 62, of McConnell Road East, Southington, on a 2013 warrant for passing bad checks.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Chase McKinney, 18, of Rhoda Avenue, Youngstown, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and on a Boardman warrant for receiving stolen property and theft.

June 18

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a bank card that belongs to a person who lives at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: A debit card was used without authorization at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Warrants: Police arrested Chad Foster, 35, of Buckeye St., Niles, on two warrants, one for interfering with custody and another for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Recovered property: A resident turned over a handgun to police.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Caroline Tirone, 28, of West Chalmers Avenue, on a theft charge, and a summons to Herman Brink, 37, of North Four Mile Run Road, on a theft charge. Police accuse the pair of allowing children with them to eat food off the shelves which they didn’t pay for and attempted to leave with jewelry, for a total value of $119.34 at Walmart. Brink also was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

June 19

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to David Trevena, 23, of South Raccoon Road, on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fraud: A stolen identity was used to obtain a loan for a resident living at a home in the 4000 block of Barrington Drive.

Theft: Money was stolen from a wallet at Hollywood Gaming.

Telecommunications harassment: A person living at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road reported receiving a threatening text message.

Warrant: Police arrested Dominic Perez, 22, of Rhode Island Drive, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

June 20

Felonious assault: The victim of an assault at Club 76, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive, was taken to a local hospital.

Lost or stolen property: An iPhone 6 was reported lost or stolen at Hollywood Gaming.

Drug offense: Police arrested Michael Schultz, 32, of South Roanoke Avenue, on drug charges.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Christopher Thomas, 30, of Washington Drive, on a charge of drug abuse of marijuana.

June 21

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Gina Devicchio, 21, of Forest Hill Avenue, Poland, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Kenneth Thornton, 31, of Cooper Street, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Heather Upole, 31, of West Ravenwood Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, and arrested him on charges of prostitution and criminal trespassing in a parking lot at Seventy-Six Drive and state Route 46. Police also issued a summons to Evan Smith, 23, of Kings Lane, Canfield, on a charge of possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Breaking and entering: Some broke into a vacant house in the 500 block of South Canfield-Niles Road and took cooper from it.

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage was done to property in the 2000 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A front door had rocks thrown at it in the 4000 block of Warwick South.

Warrant: Police issued a warrant to Cheyenne Mahan, 20, of Bone Street, Warren, on a charge of complicity to theft.

BOARDMAN

June 19

Attempted burglary: Someone apparently used a credit card in an unsuccessful effort to open a door and break into a residence in the 3900 block of Cascade Drive.

Criminal damaging: Four-wheel vehicles reportedly were used to drive through and damage a portion of church-owned property in the 7500 block of Glenwood Avenue.

Criminal mischief: A Boardman Boulevard man saw that someone had tossed bricks, rocks and trash into a creek on his property.

Theft: Michael C. Barnes, 43, of Arkwright Avenue, Youngstown, surrendered on a theft charge related to a June 6 incident in which a debit card had been stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of East Western Reserve Road.

Menacing: A Forest Park Drive woman reported having gotten a harassing letter from an inmate at a correctional facility in Live Oak, Fla.

Theft: Anthony D. Elder, 45, of Kiwatha Drive, Youngstown, was charged with stealing 10 packs of washcloths from Dollar General, 4996 Market St.

Criminal damaging: Jeffrey A. Bachani, 22, of Indianola Road, Boardman, was charged with four counts of criminal damaging and one of obstructing official business after someone had used a pellet gun to shoot a window to a residence in the 700 block of Indianola. Also, several similar incidents of vandalism took place on nearby Tudor Lane and Euclid Boulevard, a report said.

Theft: Two women reportedly took $40 worth of merchandise from Five Below, a clothing store at 411 Boardman-Poland Road.

Trespassing/weapons: Three Youngstown boys, one age 13 and two age 15, were charged with receiving stolen property and criminal trespassing after police responded to suspicious activity in the 200 block of Shields Road. The teens, two of whom also were charged with carrying a concealed weapon after authorities alleged each had a knife, entered several vehicles and took about $40 worth of change, a report showed.

Theft: A stove and a refrigerator were missing from an apartment in the 600 block of Cook Avenue.

Theft: Police charged Lisa A. Roberts of Ohlin Drive, New Middletown, with one count of theft. The 50-year-old Roberts was accused of stealing $49 worth of makeup and other items from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

June 20

Arrest: Officers arrested 24-year-old Kiasha D. Robinson after having pulled her over on Midlothian Boulevard. The Columbus woman was wanted on a Trumbull County warrant charging her with failure to appear in court.

Aggravated menacing: A North Jackson woman told police three juveniles threatened her and her two children and called them derogatory names at Southern Park Mall.

Burglary: To a residence in the 80 block of Centervale Avenue via the front door. Stolen were a purse and a cellphone.

Menacing: A Woodview Avenue man alleged his former girlfriend has sent more than 30 such text messages, and made at least 50 calls of a belligerent and threatening nature to him.

Theft: A handicap placard, 20 compact discs and a smartphone charger were removed from a vehicle in the 100 block of Erskine Avenue.

Arrest: While responding to a noise complaint at a South Avenue motel, authorities took into custody Ria F. Leano, 34, of South Avenue, Boardman. She was wanted on a felony Trumbull County warrant charging child endangerment.

Criminal mischief: Three vehicles in the 7900 block of West Parkside Drive were ransacked, though it appeared nothing was taken.

Fraud: An Indianola Road man noticed $100 had been withdrawn from his bank account without his consent.

Theft: Three women in their 20s reportedly stole a bathing suit and $25 worth of clothing from Walmart.

Theft: A woman took a $15 package of frozen meat from Dollar General, 4996 Market St.

Arrest: A traffic stop on Claybourne Avenue resulted in the arrest of 24-year-old Nicholas A. Elmo of Claybourne, Boardman, on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired.

June 21

Aggravated menacing: An Applecrest Court man alleged that while driving a neighbor and her three juvenile grandchildren, one of the juveniles pulled out a kitchen knife and demanded the accuser take him to Youngstown’s South Side.

Theft: Two 18-gauge nail guns were removed from a construction site in the 1800 block of Massachusetts Avenue.

Harassment: An employee with a business in the 1200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road reported having received more than 50 such emails while at work.

Theft: Someone broke into a car in the 100 block of Shorehaven Drive and took $30.

Drugs: Officers responded to a possible drug overdose at an East Huntington Drive residence, where they charged 20-year-old Michael W. Sheridan of East Huntington, Boardman, with possession of drug-abuse instruments. Found were a hypodermic syringe, as well as a spoon in a sink, a report said.

Theft: Police charged 30-year-old Derreka K.L. Clinkscale of Moherman Avenue, Youngstown, in the theft of five pairs of men’s shorts from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft/criminal damaging: Someone in the 3900 block of Dover Road stole five prescription pills and loose change from a car, which also sustained $200 in damage to a leather seat.

June 22

Domestic violence: David L. Moore, 53, of Basil Avenue, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged that Moore had slapped her face and tossed a glass container at her during an argument.

Criminal mischief: A worker for a Doral Drive big-box store noticed someone had drawn an inappropriate picture on her vehicle’s passenger-door.

Harassment: A man reported a former tenant threatened to kill him after having been evicted from a Willow Drive apartment.

Theft: Jesse McQueen, Jr., 39, of Howard Street, Youngstown, surrendered after a debit card had been stolen June 6 from a vehicle in the 500 block of East Western Reserve Road.

Criminal damaging: Someone jammed a piece of metal into a door tumbler to a home in the 500 block of East Western Reserve Road and used four screws to render the door inoperable. The damage estimate was $300.

Domestic violence: Erin B. McCall, 30, of Arden Boulevard, Boardman, surrendered on a domestic-violence charge after her former husband alleged that McCall had threatened him and another woman during a custody dispute.

Theft: Police charged 53-year-old Snetha N. Davis-Stanford of South Schenley Avenue, Boardman, in the theft of a package of chicken wings and a bottle of body spray from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Harassment: A Market Street woman said she received several unwanted text messages, some of which contained racial slurs.

Theft: Michael R. Briggs, 42, of Jaronte Drive, Boardman, was charged, accused of stealing seven articles of men’s athletic clothing valued at $232 from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

June 23

Arrest: Police near Market Street took into custody Jennifer N. DiRocco of Northlawn Drive, Youngstown, on a warrant charging failure to appear in court. DiRocco, 27, also was cited when, authorities alleged, she had a small bag of suspected marijuana in her purse.

Bad check: Authorities booked Robert S. Marino, 40, on a felony charge of passing a bad check after the owner of a Vienna business alleged Marino, of Kirk Road, Austintown, had presented a bad $1,667 check to pay the difference for a larger diamond ring.

Burglary: Occurred in the 4400 block of Southern Boulevard through a window. A purse, various debit and credit cards and a set of keys were stolen.

Identity theft: A Sciota Avenue woman learned that her personal information had been used without authorization to secure a $10,300 student loan.

Theft: A Southwestern Run Drive woman told police $8,800 worth of unauthorized charges have been made to her account since November.

Identity fraud: A Wingate Road woman discovered via her bank that someone has attempted to obtain a debit card and credit cards with her husband’s personal information.

Theft: Authorities charged William D. Allen, 28, of Idlewild Drive, Youngstown, in the theft of $89 worth of baby formula, diapers and health-and-beauty products from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.

Theft: A woman reported a $20 computer storage device stolen from her apartment in the 7400 block of Huntington Drive.

Harassment: A Mathews Road woman told authorities someone who had created an Instagram account posted inappropriate photographs, claiming they were of her teenage daughter. The account also included several sexual references, a report stated.

Burglary: Took place at an apartment in the 4400 block of Southern Boulevard, from which an Xbox game system and eight Xbox games were taken.

Domestic violence: Michael J. Mularchik, 52, of Southern Boulevard, Boardman, faced a third-degree felony charge after his girlfriend alleged that during an argument related to money, Mularchik had pushed her down, scratched the accuser’s face and tossed food on her. The charge was elevated because of two prior convictions, a report showed.

Theft: A $30 tool was missing after someone had entered a car in the 300 block of Annawan Lane.

CANFIELD

June 16

Warrant: Police arrested Lonnie Patton, 61,of Hamilton Avenue, Poland, on a traffic charge and on a warrant for failure to appear out of Hubbard Township.

June 17

Warrant: Police arrested Daniel Novak, 29, of Russo Drive, on a warrant for probation violation.

June 19

Warrant: Police arrested Travis Yingling, 23, of North Canton, on a warrant for probation violation.

June 20

Drugs: Police arrested Wilson J. May, no age listed, of Beach City, Ohio, for possession of drugs.

Lost wallet: A report of a lost wallet was made by a resident of a home on Timber Run Drive.

POLAND

June 19

Identity fraud: A Catarina Place man found out his personal information had been compromised.

June 20

Drugs: A traffic stop near Mathews Road and state Route 170 resulted in citations charging Lachaz A. Packingham, 34, of Sheridan Road, Poland, with marijuana possession, and Carisa D. Jackson, 36, same address, with driving without a valid license. Suspected marijuana was found in a pill bottle, a report showed.
