Penguins open 2015-16 season at Dallas on Oct. 8

The Pittsburgh Penguins will begin and end the 2015-16 season on the road.

Pittsburgh will begin its quest for a 10th straight playoff berth on Oct. 8 at Dallas. The Penguins then play at Arizona on Oct. 10 before hosting Montreal in the home opener on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The team’s schedule, released on Thursday, includes a pair of early West Coast road trips. Pittsburgh’s last game outside the Eastern time zone is Jan. 18. The Penguins will play 17 sets of back-to-back games. Pittsburgh will play Metropolitan Division foes Carolina and Washington five times each while facing the remaining five teams in the division four times apiece.

The Penguins wrap up the home portion of their schedule on April 3 against the Flyers and will finish the season with road games at Washington and Philadelphia.
