Girl Scouts place Peace Pole in Poland Township Park

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR For a World Thinking Day project, the Cadettes of Girl Scout Troop 80415 created a peace pole and placed it in Poland Township Park on June 13 with the assistance of park board members Ken Conzett and Jerry Stare. The pole includes the message “May peace prevail on earth” written in English, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Malay and Latin. Celebrating the placement were Conzett, Emma White, Laurel Zarbaugh, Chryssa Papakirk, Haley Trolio, Mary Liddle, Stare, and Molly Malmer. Anna Simeon also is a member of the troop.
