Stay away from jurors, judge warns

YOUNGSTOWN

Spectators in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in the case of a man accused in the death of his 15-month-old son have been warned about having any contact with jurors.

Judge Shirley J. Christian issued the warning today in the Larry Dawson case. Dawson is on trial on charges of murder and child endangering. He is accused in the death of his son Rayvon Stewart in December 2012.

Court officials would not say if there was any contact, but the judge met with lawyers on both sides in her chambers for several minutes and court was delayed for at least an hour.

Testimony has now resumed.
