Lowellville mayor: No interim police chief appointed Thursday

LOWELLVILLE — The village did not appoint an interim police chief this evening.

Mayor Jim Iudiciani said that was never the intent of tonight's special meeting, calling that "bad information."

Iudiciani is asking council to consider emergency legislation to create an interim chief of police position.

An executive session was planned to discuss police personnel, positions and village policies.
