WARREN

A felony warrant has been issued for the arrest of Bob A. Marchese, a former Warren City Council president.

A Warren police report was filed Tuesday indicating that Fifth Third Bank of Cincinnati reported that Marchese, 62, of Country Club Drive Southeast, opened a credit-card account in the name of his deceased wife and made several purchases with it.

The conduct resulted in a warrant for misuse of a credit card dating to Dec. 10, 2013, according to Warren Municipal Court records. The crimes occurred as late as February 2014, the police report says.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, Marchese had not been arrested on the warrant, according to court records.

Marchese was council president until early 2012, after he was defeated in the November 2011 election by Bob Dean. Marchese had the job nine years and had served on city council for 18 years.
