Consider changing school year

Maybe after this lousy June we are having, our schools in Ohio will wake up and change the school year. I would recommend students get out about July 1st and going back about Oct. 1.

Usually July, August and September are the hottest and driest months. In addition, baseball season will be over, and our children could better enjoy their summer months off.

What’s more, some schools don’t have any air conditioning, and that just makes paying attention a little harder. I know the old-timers are going to say we never had air and school should be year- round. But get with the times; our children are a lot more rebellious than we were. I am 65 and from the old school. I say let’s move on with the times.
