Port Authority hires Moliterno as permanent executive director
VIENNA — The Western Reserve Port Authority emerged from a three-hour closed-door meeting this afternoon and voted to hire its interim executive director, John Moliterno, to be its permanent executive director.
The board interviewed Moliterno and its other finalist, former U.S. Rep. John Boccieri's ex-chief of staff Anthony Trevena, during the meeting before making its selection.
David Mosure, chairman of the committee that conducted the nationwide search, said the port authority considered hiring Molterno to executive director and hiring Trevena to another position, but decided against it.
Instead, Moliterno will work toward hiring additional staff in the weeks and months to come.
