John Moliterno and Anthony Trevena meeting with WPA in job search
VIENNA — Rumors that the two candidates for executive director of the Western Reserve Port Authority are John Moliterno and Anthony Trevena turned out to be correct.
Both men appeared at the port authority’s special meeting today at noon, and Trevena went into the closed meeting to talk with six of the eight board members first. Moliterno is currently waiting in the lobby for his turn.
Two board members – John Boccieri and Sam Covelli – are not going to attend the meeting, Chairman Ron Klingle announced before the port authority board went into its closed-door session.
Boccieri sent a message to the Vindicator this morning saying he had not attended any of the meetings related to the candidates “because of my military duties and my civilian job,” which is as a commercial pilot.
Trevena worked for Boccieri as chief of staff from 2008 to 2010 when Bocceri was a Congressman.
Boccieri said earlier he didn't know if that would force him to abstain from participating in discussions with the board about hiring Trevena.
