Defense expert takes the stand in Dawson trial

YOUNGSTOWN — A defense expert has taken the stand in the trial of Larry Dawson, 26, who faces charges of murder and child endangering for the death of his son, Rayvon, 15 months, in December 2012.

Trial began this week before Judge Shirley Christian.

Defense attorneys claim that the injuries that led to the baby's death happened because of a fall or some kind of non-criminal conduct. The expert is expected to say that Rayvon received his injury from a fall.
