Flooding reported on Boardman roads

BOARDMAN

The Youngstown Water Department, which maintains water lines in the township, has been inundated with calls today from people reporting water line breaks.

What could appear to be a break, however, so far has been flooding from the heavy rain today, chief engineer Gene Leson said.

His department has received calls about water in the roadways on Lockwood Boulevard, Tippecanoe Road and near the Boardman Plaza. There is “extreme flooding,” in those areas, he said, but so far no breaks have been found.
